TRIESTE – MSC is expanding its intermodal network in Europe with a new rail connection between Serbia and the Port of Trieste.
The service, operational since October 2025, departs from the Batajnica terminal near Belgrade and provides Serbian companies with direct, rapid access to global markets.
The new line is designed for the transport of automotive components, minerals, machinery, packaging materials and consumer goods, with the aim of offering shorter transit times and greater reliability compared to road transport. The train, with a capacity of over 70 TEU, operates a weekly service to Trieste, where MSC manages its own terminal at Pier VII.
