The operation had a dual goal: to crack down on unsafe driving behavior and ensure effective territorial control.<\/p>\n<p>In detail, 544 individuals and 358 vehicles were checked. A total of 200 violations of the Highway Code were reported, including 11 for speeding, 4 for driving under the influence, 11 for lack of vehicle inspection, 10 for not wearing seat belts, and 6 for improper use of mobile phones while driving. Police confiscated 17 driver\u2019s licenses and 4 vehicle registration documents, with a total of 307 demerit points assigned.<\/p>\n<p>The operation specifically targeted freight transport, with <strong>20 violations for overloading, 3 for non-compliance with hazardous materials regulations, 37 for irregular driving and rest times, 10 related to exceptional transports, and 6 violations of international freight transport regulations.<\/strong><br \/>\nDuring one of the inspections, officers from the Palmanova Highway Police executed a <strong>detention order against a Romanian citizen<\/strong> who was driving a freight vehicle registered in Slovenia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChecks will continue to be scheduled regularly to ensure increasingly higher safety standards,\u201d the Highway Police announced.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TRIESTE &#8211;
