{"id":34461,"date":"2025-07-06T22:08:51","date_gmt":"2025-07-06T20:08:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/uncategorized\/new-facilities-for-car-traffic-in-koper\/"},"modified":"2025-07-09T01:09:54","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T23:09:54","slug":"new-facilities-for-car-traffic-in-koper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/logistics\/new-facilities-for-car-traffic-in-koper\/","title":{"rendered":"New facilities for car traffic in Koper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TRIESTE \u2013<\/strong> The Port of Koper has recently <strong>inaugurated two key infrastructures to support the growth of automotive traffic and value-added vehicle services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The new <strong>\u201c6A\u201d storage area and a 900-square-meter workshop operated by Avtoservis d.o.o.<\/strong> \u2014 a company specialized in vehicle customization, preparation, PDI, and other automotive services \u2014 are now officially in service.<\/p>\n<p>Storage area 6A can accommodate <strong>up to 3,500 vehicles and includes 52 truck loading ramps and 21 charging stations for electric vehicles<\/strong>. Completed in early June after one year of construction, the facility is part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/it\/logistica\/porto-di-capodistria-record-al-terminal-auto\/\">broader development plan<\/a> that also includes <strong>areas 5A, operational since 2023, and 7A, whose construction will begin in the coming months<\/strong>. Together, these developments will <strong>increase the terminal\u2019s total capacity by around 10,000 parking spaces<\/strong>. A small building for logistics support and worker rest has also been built.<\/p>\n<p>The second newly opened facility is the <strong>Avtoservis workshop, covering 900 square meters<\/strong> and featuring eight workstations for the installation and modification of vehicle equipment. The building was designed with sustainability in mind, using insulated materials, <strong>renewable energy systems, and a 144 kW rooftop photovoltaic plant connected to the port\u2019s internal power grid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur success is built on a clear development vision, years of experience and expertise, but above all on a team of extremely diligent, reliable, and skilled collaborators. It\u2019s thanks to them that we are recognized internationally for our excellent service and wide range of value-added offerings, which we continuously adapt to meet market demands, as well as those of our business partners and clients,\u201d said <strong>Nevenka Kr\u017ean, Chair of the Management Board of Luka Koper<\/strong>, adding that this was the motivation behind founding Avtoservis Koper in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle and Ro-Ro terminal at the Port of Koper, managed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luka-kp.si\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luka Koper<\/a>, is one of the largest in the Mediterranean and ranks among the top four most efficient in Europe for vehicle transshipment.
