The appointment was made official on 31 July by the company\u2019s Supervisory Board and will take effect on 1 October 2025, with an initial term of three years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>With over 25 years of international experience in the logistics and transport industry<\/strong>, Eijsink succeeds Angela Titzrath, who will step down after nine years at the helm of the company. In Trieste, HHLA operates through its subsidiary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhla-plt.it\/\">HHLA PLT Italy<\/a>, which is developing the port\u2019s future container terminal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A Dutch national, <strong>Eijsink has held top positions at DHL Freight (Germany, Benelux, and UK), served as President Europe at C.H. Robinson, and, since 2023, has been CEO of the Lithuanian Girteka Group<\/strong>, where he led a strategic realignment process. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam and began his career at Siemens in the Digitalisation Division.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">According to Prof. Dr. R\u00fcdiger Grube, Chairman of HHLA\u2019s Supervisory Board, the appointment marks a strategic strengthening at a time of transformation for the industry:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWith Jeroen Eijsink, HHLA gains an internationally experienced leader with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities of global logistics. His proven ability to lead and transform complex organisations, combined with a clear vision for efficiency and innovation, will reinforce HHLA during a critical phase of its development.
