The service, operated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.libertylines.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liberty Lines<\/a> under contract with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, ran from June 26 to September 1 \u2014 a total of 67 days without any technical interruptions.<\/p>\n<p>The results were presented by Regional Councillor for Infrastructure and Transport, Cristina Amirante, together with Liberty Lines\u2019 Commercial Director, Nunzio Formica, and Aurora Viaggi President, Edi Kraus. Amirante highlighted that, following the suspension in 2024, the route offered a concrete alternative to car travel and strengthened sea links with the Istrian coast and the island of Lo\u0161inj. <strong>The Region invested \u20ac4.5 million to activate the service.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>More than half of the passengers (51%) came from abroad.<\/strong> In addition to Germans, French, Slovenians and Britons \u2014 the most represented nationalities \u2014 there were also 282 arrivals from the United States, 278 from the Czech Republic and 231 from Spain.<\/p>\n<p>According to the data released, many travelers benefited from promotional fares: families, young people, students, seniors, people with disabilities and groups took advantage of available discounts. This approach, the councillor said, made the service accessible to a diverse audience and strengthened its role as a sustainable mobility option.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most appreciated features among users was the possibility to embark bicycles: 865 were carried over the summer. This figure ties in with the development of regional cycling routes, including the FVG2 coastal path between Trieste and Venice, which could in future integrate with maritime connections. A satisfaction survey conducted among 478 passengers showed that <strong>99.01% would recommend the Liberty Lines service.<\/strong> \u201c<strong>A success made possible also by the vessel\u2019s characteristics \u2014 carrying up to 180 passengers and 15 bicycles at a top speed of 30 knots, ensuring comfort, reliability and high performance<\/strong>,\u201d Amirante
