{"id":36137,"date":"2025-11-07T19:43:34","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T18:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/uncategorized\/sdc-opens-warehouse-in-porto-marghera\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T11:44:58","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T10:44:58","slug":"sdc-opens-warehouse-in-porto-marghera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/logistics\/sdc-opens-warehouse-in-porto-marghera\/","title":{"rendered":"SDC opens warehouse in Porto Marghera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\"><strong>TRIESTE &#8211;<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sdcweb.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SDC Servizio Doganale Containers<\/a> is expanding its activity in Porto Marghera with a <strong>new 2,000-square-meter covered warehouse<\/strong> dedicated to the storage and handling of goods at ambient temperature. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\">The new space for the customs operator \u2014 whose headquarters are in Marghera and which also has offices in Trieste, Koper, and Rijeka, as well as in Padua, Mantua, Ravenna, and Ancona <\/span><span class=\"cf1\">\u2013 <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">has been leased from the Port System Authority that manages the ports of Venice and Chioggia and is located in the southern industrial zone of Porto Marghera, within the former <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">MonteSyndial<\/span><span class=\"cf0\"> area.<br \/>\n<span class=\"cf0\">\u201cIt will have the status of a customs warehouse, features large areas for heavy vehicles, and is located close to the future berthing area,\u201d the note states.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\">The investment is part of the larger redevelopment project already underway with the works for the first construction phase, which include equipping the quay and a strip of yard of about 50 meters behind it. <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">\u00abThe North Adriatic Sea Port Authority \u2014 confirms SDC president Stefano <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">Coccon<\/span><span class=\"cf0\"> \u2014 has an ambitious and significant redevelopment plan for the <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">MonteSyndial<\/span><span class=\"cf0\"> area: a concrete and important project for the future of the Port of Venice, which we strongly believe in\u00bb. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\">Going into detail, \u00abwithin the broader area recovery plan\u00bb, the Venetian Authority, <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">Coccon<\/span><span class=\"cf0\"> further explains, \u00abhas made available to companies several buildings that required only limited and not overly onerous maintenance work.
