{"id":36597,"date":"2025-12-09T20:42:48","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T19:42:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/uncategorized\/authority-venice-approves-2026-budget-surplus-at-e154-million\/"},"modified":"2025-12-27T15:43:22","modified_gmt":"2025-12-27T14:43:22","slug":"authority-venice-approves-2026-budget-surplus-at-e154-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/logistics\/authority-venice-approves-2026-budget-surplus-at-e154-million\/","title":{"rendered":"Authority Venice approves 2026 budget: surplus at \u20ac154 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\"><strong>TRIESTE &#8211;<\/strong> The Northern Adriatic Sea Port System Authority (ports of Venice and Chioggia) <strong>has approved the 2026 draft budget<\/strong>, confirming operational continuity despite the transition phase following the appointment of the extraordinary commissioner last July, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/shipping-en\/gasparato-appointed-president-of-the-port-authority-of-venice-and-chioggia\/\">which, about a month ago, resulted in the confirmation of Matteo <\/a><\/span><span class=\"cf0\">Gasparato<\/span><span class=\"cf0\"> as president. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\">For next year, the document forecasts a<strong> presumed administrative surplus of over \u20ac150 million and an estimated operating profit of \u20ac13.7 million. <\/strong><\/span><span class=\"cf0\">The 2026 management plan is based on an outlook of \u201cconstant\u201d expected traffic volumes and current revenues amounting to \u20ac64.7 million, driven mainly by port dues (\u20ac15.85 million), anchorage dues (\u20ac10 million) and state-owned concession fees (slightly down compared with the 2025 forecast, at around \u20ac35 million). The current-account surplus remains stable as well, expected at around \u20ac22 million\u2014an element that continues to make it possible to self-finance a significant share of investments and to repay loans held by the Authority.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\">As for<strong> the investment plan, in 2026 the Authority expects just under \u20ac20 million for works, dredging and maintenance, in line with the previous three-year period<\/strong> but below the peaks recorded in past years. The reason lies in the need to focus on completing works already funded and under construction, many of which are tied to state funds, PNRR, PNC or European programmes. <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">The budget also confirms full coverage for the remaining three-year period, with over \u20ac23 million for 2027 and \u20ac7 million for 2028, including strategic interventions such as Molo A and maintaining channel depths in the ports of Venice and Chioggia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\">Current expenditure is estimated at \u20ac42.5 million, driven mainly by staff costs (\u20ac11.47 million), institutional services (\u20ac8.4 million), ongoing litigation (including disputes linked to asbestos exposure, for \u20ac7.3 million), as well as financial and tax charges (\u20ac8 million). <\/span><strong><span class=\"cf0\">The impact of <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">IRES<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"cf0\"><strong> taxation on state-owned concession fees<\/strong> continues, bringing tax charges to \u20ac5.47 million. <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">The 2026 cash forecast indicates a final balance of \u20ac82.1 million, down compared with the beginning of the year\u2014an
