It will be fully compatible with the main European signalling systems. The project includes <strong>five maintenance tracks and one track equipped with a wheel lathe for wheel reprofiling, ensuring high operational availability.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\">The choice of Verona is linked to its location along the Brenner corridor, which is set to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/logistics\/brenner-tunnel-sill-pfons-section-completed-9-km-still-to-go\/\">double capacity with the opening of the Base Tunnel in 2032<\/a>. The new facility will work in synergy with the <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">Rail<\/span><span class=\"cf0\"> Service Center in Novara, which has been operational since 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cf0\">Pierfrancesco De Rossi, CEO of Siemens <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">Mobility<\/span><span class=\"cf0\"> Italy, said the investment confirms the company\u2019s commitment to more sustainable and competitive freight transport. For Alberto Lacchini, general manager of <\/span><span class=\"cf0\">Railpool<\/span><span class=\"cf0\"> Italy, <strong>the centre expands maintenance capacity in a strategic area, with the goal of starting operations in 2028<\/strong>.
