strong>TRIESTE – Following the renovation works on the Lueg Bridge along the A13 motorway in Tyrol (Austria)<\/a>, temporary restrictions have also been introduced on the Italian side for heavy goods vehicles, to prevent critical issues and congestion on the Brenner corridor.<\/p>\n

The Italian Federation of Professional Road Hauliers (FIAP) notes that the Government Commissioner for the Province of Bolzano has ordered a traffic ban on the Brenner A22<\/strong> (northbound, on the stretch from Vipiteno to the state border) for all vehicles used for the carriage of goods with a gross vehicle weight over 7.5 tonnes, in the following periods:<\/p>\n

every Saturday, from 7:00 to 15:00, from 10 January to 14 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friday 10 April 2026, from 7:00 to 22:00.<\/p>\n

The measure forms part of the restrictions adopted by the Austrian authorities on the A13, needed to allow the reconstruction works on the Lueg Bridge,<\/strong> and aims to ensure road safety, traffic flow and the protection of public order on the Italian stretch of the Brenner motorway.<\/p>\n

However, some exemptions apply<\/strong>, meaning the ban does not cover, among others:<\/p>\n

vehicles carrying perishable goods and foodstuffs;
\ntransport of fuels, mail, roadside assistance, medical rescue services and public security;
\ntrips bound for combined road\u2013rail transport;
\ntransport of goods to or from airports.<\/p>\n

For HGVs that, when the ban enters into force, are already travelling within the Province of Bolzano, dedicated parking areas<\/strong> are \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0443\u0441\u043c\u043e\u0442\u0440, in particular the SA.DO.BRE car park in Vipiteno or other equipped areas identified by the competent authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
