{"id":37196,"date":"2026-01-27T23:56:54","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T22:56:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/uncategorized\/innoway-wage-support-scheme-triggered-in-trieste\/"},"modified":"2026-01-31T10:28:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-31T09:28:12","slug":"innoway-wage-support-scheme-triggered-in-trieste","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/logistics\/innoway-wage-support-scheme-triggered-in-trieste\/","title":{"rendered":"Innoway: wage-support scheme triggered in Trieste"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TRIESTE &#8211;<\/strong> At <strong>Innoway\u2019s Bagnoli della Rosandra plant (Trieste)<\/strong>, a period of <strong>continuous wage support (CIG) will start tomorrow, 28 January, for at least eight days, with a possible extension.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The communication reached the company RSU today and immediately prompted a reaction from the unions, which are mainly contesting the lack of notice and the discrepancies compared with what was reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/logistics\/innoway-fvg-region-calls-for-more-dialogue-with-workers\/\">a few days ago at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Fim Cisl, Fiom Cgil and Uilm, at the ministerial meeting on 22 January management had outlined a different scenario, limiting recourse to CIG to a maximum of four Fridays linked to difficulties in sourcing materials. <strong>The decision announced today is described as a \u201cserious lack of clarity\u201d and a \u201clack of respect\u201d<\/strong> towards workers and institutions. The unions have called a public workers\u2019 assembly for tomorrow morning, open to the press, in front of the plant gates.<\/p>\n<p>The Regional Councillor for Labour <strong>Alessia Rosolen<\/strong> also issued a strong statement. The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region expressed its \u201cdisappointment\u201d at the use of wage support, which the company justified by an interruption in the supply chain following a fire at a supplier\u2019s plant. For Rosolen, precisely because of this reason, <strong>it \u201cwould have been more correct and transparent\u201d for this possibility to have been at least flagged during the meeting at the Ministry<\/strong>, given that the company must already have considered it among the possible scenarios.<br \/>\nThe councillor also stressed the hope that Innoway will honour its commitments by moving quickly to replace suppliers, ideally strengthening the Made in Italy component of the industrial project. This step is considered essential to avoid further sacrifices by workers and to keep to the timelines set out in the industrial plan included in the programme agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Even harsher was <strong>USB\u2019s statement, accusing the company of a total lack of transparency and of having contradicted\u2014in practice\u2014the \u201cpositive\u201d climate described just hours earlier at the ministerial meeting.<\/strong> USB denounces not only the sudden announcement of continuous CIG through 6 February, but also the deliberate exclusion of the union from meetings, which\u2014according to what was reported\u2014were convened only with Fim, Fiom and Uilm.<br \/>\nFor USB, this is a serious choice that distorts union dialogue and compresses representation rights at a delicate moment for employment and work organisation. The union openly speaks of <strong>a deep gap between official statements and the real management of the factory<\/strong> and says that, absent a change in attitude, it is ready to take legal action.
