Investments to continue\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TRIESTE \u2013<\/strong> A slowdown in production due to supply issues.<\/p>\n<p>This is the reason behind Innoway\u2019s recourse to the wage support scheme (CIG). Innoway is <strong>a joint venture between the MSC Group and Innofreight for the manufacture of rail freight wagons at the former W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 site in Bagnoli della Rosandra, a few kilometres from the Port of Trieste.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cInnoway Trieste, while confirming its commitment to the relaunch of the Bagnoli della Rosandra plant, which will see interventions totalling 100 million euros, has had to resort to temporary and limited use of the wage support scheme. This decision is exclusively linked to slowdowns in assembly activities caused by the sudden interruption in the supply of components from the current sole external supplier,\u201d the company said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/logistics\/innoway-wage-support-scheme-triggered-in-trieste\/\">The announcement of wage support had yesterday strongly irritated both the unions and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region<\/a>, coming just a day after a meeting at the competent Ministry to address the company\u2019s future development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs announced during the meeting in Rome, the company is already at work and in recent weeks has been seeking to <strong>resolve the immediate situation by looking for other suppliers, including in Italy,<\/strong> in order to ensure production continuity as soon as possible. These suppliers will be needed only for the first phase of the plant\u2019s activities: during the current set-up, the assembly of components produced by external suppliers is foreseen. The same components will be produced at the site starting from 2027,\u201d the statement continues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrecisely with the aim of ensuring the objectives of the industrial plan, <strong>the company confirms its commitment to file the application for the Development Contract relating to the investments planned for 2026\u20132027,<\/strong> as announced during the most recent meeting with institutions and the RSU held last week.
