The first crash occurred <strong>around 9:30 a.m. at kilometre marker 437 between San Stino di Livenza and Cessalto heading towards Venice. Three heavy vehicles were involved<\/strong>, including a gas tanker reported to be empty. One person was injured. Autostrade Alto Adriatico immediately activated the automatic mandatory exit towards the A28\/A27 for vehicles coming from Trieste, diverting traffic onto the bypass within minutes to prevent further tailbacks. Entry ramps at Portogruaro and San Stino towards Venice were also closed.<\/p>\n<p>The second accident occurred in the <strong>stretch between San Don\u00e0 and Cessalto heading towards Trieste, where two heavy vehicles collided, one of which caught fire.<\/strong> Due to the blaze, it will be necessary to mill part of the carriageway and <strong>carry out repaving<\/strong>. For several hours, a mandatory exit at San Don\u00e0 di Piave remained in place. The stretch between San Don\u00e0 and Cessalto towards Trieste reopened around 1:00 p.m., but the overtaking lane remains closed to allow repair works. Tailbacks towards Trieste are still reported between Meolo and Cessalto. At 1:40 p.m., the stretch between Portogruaro and San Stino towards Venice was also reopened, after the removal of the articulated lorries involved in the first
