TRIESTE –<\/strong> More than 170 interviews were held in a single morning today in Chioggia to connect companies and workers in the blue economy.
\nThe initiative, organised by the Job Centre on behalf of Veneto Lavoro, involved 17 companies and 71 candidates from the main blue economy sectors: fishing, shipbuilding, freight and passenger transport, maritime services and seaside tourism.<\/strong> The companies expressed satisfaction and said they were ready to hire some of the candidates they met in the short term.
\nThis was the fourth edition of the event dedicated to the sector. Nicola Boscolo Pecchie, head of the Job Centre, underlined the need to adapt public employment services to the specific features of the \u201csea system\u201d, working on training, IT tools and access to maritime professional qualifications, with a stronger link to the local area.
\nThe Harbour Master\u2019s Office also expressed its willingness to cooperate, with commander Andrea Palma pointing to the importance of networking in support of the maritime sector and recreational boating.<\/p>\n

On the institutional side, Veneto Region vice-president Lucas Pavanetto recalled the strategic role of the blue economy for the area, spanning ports, traffic flows and the fishing supply chain<\/strong>, while Pierpaolo Ribuffo, representing the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, linked the initiative to the guidelines of the Three-year Plan for the Sea, highlighting the value of matching labour supply and demand in a sector that is key to the national economy.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
