The operation became necessary after the <strong>mechanical failure that occurred during the morning shortly after the Palmanova interchange.<\/strong> Traffic police, firefighters and concessionaire staff are on site, supported by the NBCR unit of the Trieste fire brigade, called in to handle the most delicate operations linked to the presence of flammable material. The entrance to the Palmanova tollgate towards Venice remains closed, as does the link between the A34 (Gorizia\u2013Villesse) and the A4 towards Venice.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic coming from Trieste is being forced to exit at Villesse. For drivers heading towards Venice, the recommended alternative route is via the SS14 towards Cervignano, rejoining the motorway at the San Giorgio di Nogaro tollgate. <strong>The situation is causing major delays along the A4 between Redipuglia and the Palmanova junction<\/strong>, with disruption that could continue until the fuel transfer and vehicle safety operations are completed.<\/p>\n<p>Update:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Villesse\u2013Palmanova section of the A4 motorway was reopened at around 7 pm today, Monday 30 March<\/strong>, after having been closed earlier \u0628\u0633\u0628\u0628 the breakdown of a tanker carrying petrol.
