TRIESTE –<\/strong> Pordenone Interporto is strengthening its setup with five new projects and the reactivation of its intermodal terminal<\/strong>. Tomorrow, the Friuli Venezia Giulia logistics network infrastructure will inaugurate five infrastructure works included in its investment plan, for a total value of more than \u20ac6 million.<\/strong> The projects are aimed at reshaping the intermodal hub and enhancing regional logistics services, with funding combining regional resources, European contributions under the Connecting Europe Facility programme and the company\u2019s own capital.<\/p>\n

The inauguration coincides with the departure of the first train operated by InRail<\/a>, marking the resumption of rail operations after the \u062a\u0648\u0642\u0641 of recent months. The company is also working on the tender to identify an industrial partner for the future management of the terminal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The most significant investment concerns the expansion of the operating yard and the installation of the power supply system for the gantry cranes, for a total of \u20ac2.6 million<\/strong>. This is a key step in increasing terminal capacity and adapting it to the growth of intermodal traffic. Another project concerns access roads and parking areas: more than \u20ac1.5 million for a new temporary area for heavy goods vehicles<\/strong>, an access roundabout and a parking area intended for the European \u201cEU Safe Parking Areas \u2013 bronze level\u201d certification. The aim is to strengthen services for hauliers and improve safety standards, which are increasingly required in international logistics chains.<\/p>\n

On the environmental front, mobile sound-absorbing barriers worth around \u20ac948,000<\/strong> have been installed. The project, funded with regional resources, is intended to reduce the acoustic impact of the terminal on surrounding areas. The third phase of the service centre has also been completed, with works worth around \u20ac230,000 for the second-floor offices<\/strong>, while a project worth almost \u20ac1 million has led to the construction of a yard dedicated to the Civil Motor Vehicle Department for driving tests, inspections and vehicle checks.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
