TRIESTE –<\/strong> Construction of the new rail bridge over the West Canal at Porto Marghera<\/strong> is entering its operational phase, with the infrastructure set to improve rail access to the port area.
\nOne of the most significant steps is the installation of a tower crane positioned on an artificial island in the middle of the canal<\/strong>. The solution makes it possible to operate in the waterway without blocking navigation. The crane reaches an under-hook height of more than 45 metres above sea level and a maximum height of around 52 metres, allowing materials to be handled with precision.
\nIts positioning was defined with the support of the Venice Harbour Master\u2019s Office to ensure safety and operational continuity. Throughout all construction phases, the passage of vessels will in fact remain guaranteed, thanks to dedicated corridors and the coordination of activities.<\/p>\n

The project, worth a total of \u20ac28.48 million and scheduled for completion in 2026, is one of the key intermodality schemes in the Venice area<\/strong>.
