TRIESTE –<\/strong> The Northern Light Composites<\/a> facility will be operational in Monfalcone by mid-June.<\/strong>
\nThe announcement emerged from a meeting between mayor Luca Fasan, sports councillor Fabio Banello, co-founder and chief operating officer Piernicola Paoletti and Samer Group manager Marco Gobbo, who also sits on the startup\u2019s board of directors.<\/p>\n

The plant, whose foundation stone was laid last July<\/strong>, will be built on lot 1 of the East-West Canal and will house a production hall of around 500 square metres with adjoining offices.<\/strong> The structure is designed according to environmental sustainability criteria and will be used for the production of boats made from rComposite, an alternative material to fibreglass.<\/a><\/p>\n

NLComp is a startup focused on circular solutions for boating, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of traditional composite materials. The industrial project is part of the redevelopment and growth process of the Monfalcone area linked to the sea.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Fasan, it is \u00aban ambitious project, backed by a major group such as Samer\u00bb, with benefits for the local area also in terms of attractiveness and youth involvement in sea-related activities.<\/p>\n

From an operational point of view, Gobbo confirmed that work is proceeding according to schedule and that the opening is expected between late May and early June. Further business initiatives linked to services for recreational boating are also being developed in the area and will be presented shortly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first boat produced entirely in Monfalcone, the \u201cOffshore 34\u201d, intended for use in the next sports season,<\/strong> will also be presented at the opening. Paoletti highlighted the industrial and symbolic value of the project, while Banello stressed the role of the boat also as a tool for promoting the local area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
