TRIESTE \u2013 Construction has begun at Fincantieri\u2019s Marghera shipyard on Crystal Grace, a new high-end cruise ship destined for the company Crystal. The first steel-cutting ceremony took place today in the presence of senior representatives of the shipowning group and the Venetian yard.<\/p>\n
Delivery of the ship is scheduled for spring 2028 and will be followed by the construction of two further sister ships, confirming the collaboration between Fincantieri and the Crystal brand in the luxury cruise segment.<\/p>\n
Crystal Grace will have a gross tonnage of 62,000 tonnes and capacity for 650 passengers. The project focuses on high standards of hospitality, with generous guest spaces, top-level entertainment and a crew-to-passenger ratio that is particularly high compared with the industry average, a factor considered central to ensuring a highly personalised service.<\/p>\n
The interiors will be created using premium materials and bespoke craftsmanship developed by international architecture and design studios. The stated aim is to offer an exclusive travel experience increasingly focused on immersion in the destinations visited. The new order further strengthens the relationship between Fincantieri and Crystal. In 2023, the shipbuilding group had completed the refitting of the ships Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony at the Arsenale Triestino San Marco. The work involved both public areas and cabins and suites, as well as major plant upgrades and interventions linked to environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n
