{"id":39720,"date":"2026-06-18T17:44:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T15:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/uncategorized\/siot-closes-2025-with-record-results\/"},"modified":"2026-06-21T17:45:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T15:45:33","slug":"siot-closes-2025-with-record-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adriaports.com\/en\/logistics\/siot-closes-2025-with-record-results\/","title":{"rendered":"SIOT closes 2025 with record results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TRIESTE &#8211;<\/strong> The shareholders\u2019 meeting of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tal-oil.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SIOT (Societ\u00e0 Italiana per l&#8217;Oleodotto Transalpino)<\/a> has approved the 2025 financial statements: net profit of \u20ac2.9 million and strong growth across all main economic and operational indicators.<br \/>\nIn an international context marked by persistent geopolitical tensions, from the Russia-Ukraine conflict \u2013 SIOT underlines \u2013 to instability in the Middle East, the company that manages the Italian section of the Transalpine Pipeline recorded transported volumes of <strong>41.6 million tonnes of crude oil, up 3.9% compared with 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The growth is also reflected on the economic front. <strong>Revenues reached \u20ac116 million, up 16.8%<\/strong>, while EBITDA stood at \u20ac11.4 million and EBIT at \u20ac5.5 million. Infrastructure investments in Italy also increased sharply, rising from \u20ac45.8 million in 2024 to \u20ac70.5 million in 2025.<br \/>\nDuring 2025, the Trieste Marine Terminal received <strong>422 tankers, with average tonnage per vessel rising from 94,569 to 98,463 tonnes<\/strong>. From here, all the crude oil flows through the 753 kilometres of the pipeline to refineries in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic, either directly or through connected transport infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong>SIOT president and chief executive officer and TAL Group general manager Alessandro Gorla<\/strong>, the results confirm the strategic role of the infrastructure for Central Europe\u2019s energy security. \u00ab2025 once again demonstrated the strategic centrality of the Transalpine Pipeline for Central Europe\u2019s energy security\u00bb, Gorla said, stressing that the system increased transported volumes, accelerated its investment plan and completed several key projects, including TAL Plus. <strong>The project made it possible to increase the pipeline\u2019s pumping capacity to 7,500 cubic metres per hour, enabling the Czech Republic to fully cover its oil requirements<\/strong> through the TAL system and strengthening the shift towards supplies from western routes.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, considering TAL\u2019s activities in the three countries crossed by the pipeline, the group recorded unconsolidated revenues of \u20ac208.3 million and net profit of \u20ac7.9 million.<br \/>\nA significant share of investments was allocated to upgrading the Trieste marine terminal, the entry point of the entire system. The works made it possible to increase the operating capacity of the oil terminal, <strong>allowing Suezmax-class tankers to berth at Jetty 1 as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SIOT continues to represent the main industrial engine of the TAL Group.
