PADUA \u2013<\/strong> The development project for the intermodal terminal of Interporto di Padova<\/a> is entering its operational phase. PSA Intermodal Italy and Logtainer have signed the final agreement, following the award of the tender obtained in December 2025<\/a> and formally launching implementation of the initiative. The agreement provides for the creation of PSA Padova, a new company that will lead the development and management of the terminal.<\/strong> At the same time, PSA Intermodal Italy and Logtainer have acquired 70% of the shares in Intermodal Terminal Padova Srl, the special-purpose vehicle set up by Interporto Padova for the operation, which will take the new name PSA Padova.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s governance sees Roberto Ferrari as chairman,<\/strong> joined on the board of directors by Kim Puay Terence Lee and Pascal Willy J. Reinards representing the new shareholders. Interporto Padova is represented on the board by general manager Roberto Tosetto and deputy general manager Paolo Pandolfo.<\/p>\n

The aim of the project is to strengthen Padua\u2019s role as a strategic logistics platform along the main European freight transport and intermodal corridors. The initiative is part of the PSA Group\u2019s \u201cNode-to-Network\u201d (N2N) strategy, which aims to integrate inland terminals, seaports and international transport networks into a single logistics ecosystem.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under the new corporate structure, PSA Intermodal Italy will hold the majority stake and assume operational responsibility for the terminal, while Interporto Padova will retain a minority shareholding with the aim of ensuring links with the local area and alignment with the development strategies of the regional logistics system.<\/p>\n

The project aims to introduce in Padua an integrated model for managing logistics flows, leveraging the PSA Group\u2019s international network of ports, inland terminals and logistics services.<\/strong> Logtainer will contribute its experience in multimodal and rail transport, with the aim of expanding the range of intermodal services and improving the platform\u2019s operational efficiency.<\/p>\n

The investment is intended to enhance the integration between rail, road and ports, supporting the growth of freight traffic and greater transport sustainability. Padua is considered a strategic hub thanks to its existing infrastructure, links with the TEN-T network and its position at the heart of logistics flows in the North-East.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
