Record car carrier calls at the Port of Rijeka

RIJEKA – It called and departed again from Rijeka in recent days, the largest car carrier ever to call at the Croatian port.

The UGR AL REEF, built in 2010, 183 metres long and 32 metres wide, with a transport capacity of around 5,000 vehicles, is part of the recent start-up of this type of traffic at the Port of Rijeka.
The vessel loaded around 1,300 Stellantis cars from Slovakia bound for Turkey.
Launched this summer with a series of imports on Ro-Ro vessels, in recent weeks the connections have also extended to exports.
