TRIESTE – Circle Group is launching a new digital transformation project for inland terminals, strengthening its role in European intermodal logistics with a contract worth over 1.5 million euros and lasting around 12 months.

Circle Group announced the start of a collaboration with a leading European operator for the phased roll-out of the MILOS® platform at several strategically important inland terminals in Southern Europe. The initiative falls within a multi-level framework agreement aimed at improving efficiency, interoperability and sustainability across the main logistics hubs in the Mediterranean area.

The project includes the implementation of the TOS (Terminal Operating System) and GOS (Gate Operating System) modules, developed respectively by Circle and its subsidiary eXyond, together with the SESAMO module from partner Aitek. The platform will enable integrated, real-time management of operations, including advanced traceability of intermodal flows, dynamic resource optimisation, automated access gates and fully digital document management. The system is designed as a modular, scalable ecosystem able to integrate with external systems, in particular those of MTOs and road hauliers.

According to CEO Luca Abatello, the project’s launch confirms Circle Group’s positioning as a technology partner for the transformation of land-based intermodal logistics. Abatello stressed that solutions such as MILOS® and integration among the different supply-chain players are central to building smarter, more flexible digital infrastructures, in line with the “Connect 4 Agile Growth” industrial plan and with strengthening the competitiveness of Italy’s and Europe’s logistics system.
