TRIESTE – Applications are open for three training courses aimed at employment within the Fincantieri Group. The opportunities, promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region under the PiAzZA-GOL programme, concern specialised roles in the shipbuilding sector.

The programme includes paid courses with an allowance of 1,000 euros gross per month paid by Fincantieri, as well as board and lodging for those residing in locations other than the course venue.

Three profiles are being sought: shipbuilding operators (8 places, 400 hours of training at ENFAP in Monfalcone, starting in July 2026, application deadline 30 May), ship systems operators (21 places across two editions, 340 hours in Monfalcone, starting in September 2026, deadline 31 July) and 16 places for crane operators and slingers (330 hours at ENFAP in Trieste, starting in September 2026, deadline 31 July).

The courses, co-designed by the FVG Region and Fincantieri, combine specialist technical training with digital skills, automation and robotics, with a focus on developing relational and organisational abilities. The demand stems from the need for specialised labour in the area. At the end of the training pathway, direct employment is in fact envisaged, with workplaces at the Monfalcone and Trieste shipyards, under a full-time contract, on shifts, either permanent or as an apprenticeship for under-30s, with the qualification of skilled worker.

Adults who are unemployed, resident or domiciled in FVG, and registered or eligible to register for the PiAzZA-GOL Programme may apply, the Plan for the Activation and Strengthening of Active Employment Policies promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, which supports re-entry into the labour market through personalised training and guidance pathways.
Applications are available on the dedicated regional portal.
