TRIESTE – Interporto Centro Ingrosso di Pordenone is continuing the digital transformation of its terminal operations through a new project awarded to eXyond, a company of the Circle Group.

The project focuses on Gate 3, the access point to the intermodal terminal, where an advanced digital system will be implemented to manage, monitor and track export and transit cargo movements. The aim is to automate vehicle entry and exit procedures, improve the traceability of operations and progressively reduce manual activities.

The system will enable the automatic identification of vehicles and loading units, including containers, semi-trailers and swap bodies, recording the data required to verify access authorisations, monitor transit operations and support terminal staff in their daily activities.

At the core of the solution will be the Gate Operating System (GOS), a platform that collects and organises transit data, providing a real-time overview of logistics flows while integrating with the interport’s existing information systems. This will allow data captured at the gate to be shared instantly with other operational platforms, enabling more coordinated and efficient terminal management.

The project has been developed in line with the national eFTI (electronic Freight Transport Information) standards and the e-CMR system for the digitalisation of international transport documents, contributing to the digital transformation of the logistics sector.

The project also includes the installation of driver interaction tools, including lane kiosks, electronic badges, QR code readers, touchscreen monitors and printers, with the aim of speeding up access procedures and ensuring a smoother flow of vehicles through the terminal.
