TRIESTE – The delivery of three 20-metre Search and Rescue (SAR) vessels built at Cartubi‘s Trieste shipyard for a local maritime authority has been successfully completed in Tunis.

The vessels departed Trieste on 5 June aboard the barge Susanna, towed by the tug Piemonte. Following the sea voyage and the completion of all required logistics and documentation procedures, the three units reached their destination and were officially handed over to the client.

The operation required careful planning at every stage of the transport process, from cargo preparation and operational constraints to voyage scheduling and the administrative procedures necessary for the international transfer.

The final operations were supervised directly in Tunisia by a representative of the shipyard, who coordinated the concluding activities and took part in the official handover ceremony.

The SAR vessels are intended for search and rescue operations at sea and are specialised craft designed for emergency response, maritime assistance and the rescue of people in distress.
