TRIESTE – The study centre of Snam’s new Hydrogen Innovation Center, announced yesterday in Trieste, will cover the entire industrial chain of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Yesterday, the communication said by Cosma Panzacchi, executive vicepesident Hydrogen Business Unit of Snam spa, follows an agreement between Snam, Fincantieri and MSC for a collaboration that will lead to the construction of a hydrogen-powered cruise ship. There are still several hypotheses being examined for the headquarters, including the Area Science Park, which will, however be in Trieste.
Snam’s Hydrogen Innovation Center, one of the primary energy infrastructure companies in the world, is the first national centre of excellence for hydrogen technologies. The aim is to aggregate industrial partners and university research centres to accelerate the sector’s development and contribute to the achievement of national and European climate objectives. The project aims to promote policies to support the development of hydrogen, the scouting of H2 technologies and the design of innovative business models and pilot projects.
