TRIESTE – Concessioni Autostradali Venete is introducing a 5-cent-per-litre reduction in fuel prices at service stations along the A4 and A57 stretches under its responsibility.
The measure comes on top of the 25-cent cut in excise duties introduced by the Government on 18 March and will remain in force for 20 days, starting from acceptance by the sub-concessionaires operating the filling stations. The discount is financed through the allocation of royalties from the sub-concessions of the refuelling areas. The initiative forms part of a coordinated national action with AISCAT and shared with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The aim is to contain the effects of rising fuel prices linked to the international geopolitical situation, with a direct impact on commuters and businesses that use the motorway network every day. The discount will apply at four service areas: Arino East and Arino West on the A4 Venice-Padua, and Marghera East and Marghera West on the A57 Mestre ring road, stretches managed directly by CAV together with the Mestre bypass and the link road to Marco Polo Airport.
The same decision is also about to be examined by Autostrade Alto Adriatico, which has announced a reduction in fuel prices across its network.
