TRIESTE – More than 30 new jobs expected once fully operational and an investment of over 12 million euros in the Bagnoli della Rosandra industrial area managed by Interporto Trieste.
This is the central element of the operation launched by the Danieli Group together with Japanese multinational Shinagawa Refractories Co. Ltd., which will lead to the construction of a new plant in San Dorligo della Valle.
The project will be developed within Interporto Trieste’s logistics-industrial system and concerns the production of mould powders used in continuous casting processes for high-quality steels. The new operating company, Shinagawa Danieli Advanced Materials S.p.A., has been set up as a joint venture controlled 51% by the Japanese group and 49% by Danieli, with the aim of transferring Asian know-how in refractory technologies to Europe, integrating it with the engineering and plant-design expertise developed by the Friuli-based group.
The operation was supported through subsidised FRIE financing finalised through CiviBank – Sparkasse Group. The regional subsidised finance instrument is indicated as one of the factors that helped foster the industrial investment in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
