TRIESTE – Circle Group has launched a project with MEDLOG Italia, the logistics company of the MSC Group, to implement the Mastersped WMS platform under the LogIN Business programme.
The initiative aims to digitise the management of Medlog Italia’s warehouses through a Warehouse Management System capable of supporting the planning, monitoring and control of operational flows, improving cargo traceability and the integration of logistics processes.
Thanks to the new platform, Medlog will be able to monitor the entire operating cycle in real time, from cargo receipt through to shipment preparation, with the ability to track each individual package along the supply chain. The automation of activities will also speed up administrative processes, including end-of-period invoicing, while Business Intelligence tools will make it possible to analyse operational performance and identify any inefficiencies.
The project will be developed in successive phases, starting with the preliminary analysis through to the system’s go-live. This approach will allow the new functions to be introduced gradually without disrupting the warehouses’ day-to-day operations. Present in more than 90 countries, the MSC-controlled company manages intermodal transport services, logistics platforms, inland terminals and warehouses, supported by a network of assets including trucks, locomotives, barges and refrigerated units.
