TRIESTE – The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region is supporting Pordenone Interport’s new investment with €8 million, aimed at expanding the area’s logistics offering.

The €8 million non-repayable grant will support the new development project of Interporto Centro Ingrosso Pordenone, a total investment of approximately €13 million, for the construction of a new logistics hub in the Vallenoncello area.

The project will cover an area of approximately 35,000 square metres and includes the construction of a warehouse of around 6,500 square metres, with a height of 15 metres, in addition to yards dedicated to operational activities.
The objective is to expand the Interport’s logistics capacity and provide a new facility for a leading national company. An expression of interest has already been received for the project.

As announced in recent days, the process to establish the public-private joint venture that will manage the intermodal terminal is also moving forward. At its meeting on 9 July, the Interport’s Board of Directors approved the preliminary report required for the creation of the new company.
