TRIESTE – A new ITS programme to train intermodal logistics technicians is making its debut in Gorizia, with launch scheduled for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The course, activated by the Fondazione Accademia nautica dell’Adriatico of Trieste in collaboration with the Galilei-Cossar institute in Gorizia, falls within the technological area of logistics and sustainable mobility. It is a two-year programme for 25 students, already the subject of orientation activities in recent days for the selection of candidates. The initiative aims to strengthen technical training provision in an area where demand for logistics skills is growing.
According to what emerged during the presentation, around fifteen companies are already interested in profiles graduating from this type of training, a sign of concrete demand from the local production system. The course is financed with European Social Fund resources and is part of the Higher Technical Institutes system in Friuli Venezia Giulia, with the aim of training operational figures in intermodal transport, logistics flow management and processes linked to supply chain digitalisation. The new track also fits into the “4+2” training pathway, which integrates technical education and post-diploma specialisation, and contributes to strengthening Gorizia’s training hub.
