TRIESTE – Midolini Group continues its acquisition-led growth path. Its subsidiary Midlift has signed a binding agreement to acquire the operated rental business unit of Scaligera Service, a Verona-based company specialised in mobile cranes and aerial platforms for the industrial sector.

The operation concerns only rental activities with operator, while the dry hire business unit will continue independently under the UpRent brand.
To complete the acquisition, Scaligera Autogrù S.r.l. will be established, a company into which the “operated rental” business unit will be transferred. Midlift will hold 80% of the share capital, while the remaining 20% will remain with the Brunelli family, with the aim of ensuring continuity in the area and supporting the commercial development of the business.

The acquisition represents another step in Midolini Group’s expansion strategy. The Udine-based holding company, active for more than 70 years in lifting, transport and integrated logistics and participated in by Smart VSL, consolidates its presence in the Verona area through the integration of Scaligera Service and extends its operational coverage along the Brenner axis as far as Trentino-Alto Adige.

The acquired business unit includes a fleet of mobile cranes with lifting capacity of up to 220 tonnes and aerial platforms with operating heights of up to 48 metres. The integration of the equipment and technical expertise developed by Scaligera Service will make it possible to expand the group’s operational capacity and its range of specialised services for the industrial sector. With this operation, Midolini Group brings its operating sites to seven: Udine, Trieste, Marghera, Ravenna, Sassuolo, Verona and Trento, strengthening its network in Northern Italy and its positioning in the industrial lifting and specialised rental market.
