TRIESTE – In the first nine months of the financial year, the Somec Group recorded revenues of €271.1 million, up 0.4% from the €270 million reported as of 30 September 2024, driven by the strong performance of the Mestieri division, which grew by 17.1% year-on-year.

«Despite some operational shifts and a different mix of progress across the naval, civil and interior segments, overall performance remains positive, supported by long-term visibility ensured by a solid project pipeline well distributed across target markets» the Veneto-based company said.

«The results of the first nine months confirm the strength of our industrial model and the consistency of the path we are pursuing. The integration of activities across the Group’s three divisions, and the operational discipline shown by each company» said Oscar Marchetto, Chairman of Somec, «are reflected in the performance and in the orders that are enriching our backlog. The momentum in the shipbuilding sector, set to continue in the coming years, allows us to plan our growth with greater confidence and foresight, and to keep working on strengthening our key financial indicators».

Since 2013, Somec has evolved from a leading company in engineered glazed building envelopes and architectural solutions for cruise ships into a group of companies specialised in solutions for the shipbuilding industry, including onboard kitchen systems and interior outfitting for passenger vessels.
