TRIESTE – The new conference format – Adriaports FORUM – dedicated to port and logistics issues in the Northern Adriatic begins in Pordenone on Monday 15 December. The initiative stems from a collaboration between Adriaports and Confetra Fvg and will develop into a series of events held across the territory, from Veneto to Croatia, via Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia.

On Monday, at the Pordenone Interporto, the focus will be on intermodality and the links between the infrastructure—midway between the ports of Trieste and Venice—and the Friulian and Venetian logistics systems. Operators’ views will be gathered and the role of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region analysed.

The aim of Adriaports FORUM is to create a stable space for dialogue and in-depth discussion among operators, institutions and public and private stakeholders. It also seeks to provide up-to-date, high-quality information on the sector’s challenges and opportunities, encouraging direct debate on the strategic issues affecting the ports of Trieste, Koper, Venice and Rijeka, with a perspective of interregional cooperation.

The meetings will address the sector’s key topics, from maritime traffic trends to infrastructure planning, from the management of port operations to the impact of new technologies. Space will also be dedicated to decarbonisation projects and strategies to reduce the environmental impact of port activities.
