TRIESTE – On 30 December 2025, the final transfer of the areas owned by Coseveg located within the customs area of the Port of Monfalcone to the Eastern Adriatic Sea Port System Authority was signed before a notary.

The newly appointed Authority President, Marco Consalvo, and the President of Coseveg (Consorzio di sviluppo economico della Venezia Giulia), Renato Russo, signed the first of the three contracts planned for the full transfer of the consortium areas, for a total value of €4 million. The subsequent notarial deeds are scheduled for March and May 2026.

The first contract, signed in December 2025, concerns around 6,000 square metres of port areas, including 2,850 square metres of covered warehouses, already currently used by port operators. In particular, the areas are used by Cetal (Grimaldi Group) and Fhp Group.

The operation brings order to the long-standing fragmentation of ownership, previously split between the Consortium and the former Special Agency, dating back to the period before management by the Port System Authority that runs the Port of Trieste. Coseveg will exit the port as a landowner, but will continue to operate within the port, being involved in several infrastructure works, including the overhaul of the sewer systems, the laying of optical fibre and the restoration of road surfaces.
