TRIESTE – The CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) Committee has recently admitted the “ACCESS2NAPA” project for European funding.
The project coordinator will be the Port Network Authority of the central northern Adriatic Sea (Port of Ravenna), which proposed the project to the European Commission last March.
The total budget of the project is 14 million 436,400 euros. The project is scheduled to start at the end of 2021 and ending in 2024.
The action focused on projects to promote the maritime and land accessibility of the ports involved and on the design of facilities for the electrification of the quays, also affects the AdSP of the Northern Adriatic Sea (Port of Venice), the AdSP of the Eastern Adriatic Sea (Port of Trieste) and the Port of Koper in Slovenia.
Since 15 December 2020, the date of publication of the call, the partners have been working on constructing the proposal. These are complex design activities, which will allow the ports involved to improve accessibility and environmental performance, increasing the competitiveness of the entire Upper Adriatic port network.
