TRIESTE – Talenta, the professional kitchen systems and products division of Veneto-based Somec Group, has secured a new contract through its subsidiary Oxin, with a total value of €53 million in the cruise sector.
This is the highest-value order ever won in Oxin’s twenty-two years of operations. Delivery of the ships is scheduled between 2030 and 2031, with economic effects expected between 2027 and 2030.
The order concerns the turnkey delivery of the kitchen areas, pantries, catering and bar facilities for two next-generation cruise ships under construction at a leading Italian shipyard, destined for a German cruise line that is part of a major international group.
Both units feature an articulated service offering, with food & beverage and dining spaces positioned as the distinctive “resort-style” hallmark of the onboard concept.
The supply covers a total area of around 14,000 square metres, evenly distributed between the two ships, and includes a dedicated production line for brewing beer on board—a solution that requires specialist expertise and a high degree of flexibility.
