TRIESTE – The shareholders’ meeting of CNV Srl, which acquired the shipyard last February, has appointed Roberto Cavazzana as chief executive officer, previously in charge of financial management.
Having completed the initial reorganization phase, the Cantiere Navale Vittoria of Adria (Rovigo) now begins a new stage of its development.
Cavazzana succeeds lawyer Francescomaria Tuccillo in the role of ad Operations. With this appointment, the ownership aims to strengthen the control of internal processes and consolidate the shipyard’s presence in national and international markets, opening a new phase of growth for one of the main naval operators in the Polesine area.
In July CNV won the tender issued by AVM, the Venice mobility holding company, for the construction of two hybrid ferries for ACTV, the lagoon public transport operator.
The contract is worth a total of 7.2 million euros and provides for the design and construction of two units, which will be delivered within the next two years.
In September of last year, Roberto Cavazzana won the auction for Cantiere Navale Vittoria. The purchase followed the procedure indicated by the Court of Rovigo, which at the end of July had granted an extension of the deadlines for the approved restructuring plan.
In reality, Cavazzana’s offer (submitted on behalf of other investors) had also been filed at the end of July, but the chairman of Cantiere Navale Vittoria, Paolo Duò, had not considered it necessary to disclose the name of the professional.
