TRIESTE – The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region is allocating €14.4 million to offset part of the higher costs incurred by companies due to the increase in fuel prices between March and June 2026.
The Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government has approved the criteria for assigning non-repayable grants to companies most affected by the rise in fuel costs recorded in the first months of 2026. The call will open by the summer.
The measure concerns numerous production sectors, with particular attention to logistics and the transport of goods and passengers, but also includes wholesale trade, construction, waste collection, cleaning activities and landscape maintenance.
Regional councillor for Productive Activities Sergio Emidio Bini explained that the measure stems from discussions launched in March and April with trade associations and aims to provide a rapid response through simplified rolling procedures.
Applications may be submitted by companies with a registered or operational office in Friuli Venezia Giulia belonging to the Ateco codes identified by the resolution. These include rail, road and maritime transport companies, warehousing and storage services, cargo handling, logistics services, transport support activities, freight forwarders and transport intermediaries, as well as construction companies, waste collection operators, cleaning services, taxis, chauffeur-driven hire services and ambulance medical transport services.
The grant will be calculated on the higher cost incurred for fuel purchases between 1 March and 15 June 2026 compared with the same period in 2025. For more recently established companies, the comparison will be made on the first four months of activity. The cost increase must be self-certified by applicants, using as a parameter the official average prices published by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.
