TRIESTE – A new crane for bulk cargo handling is being assembled at Porto Nogaro. It is a Mantsinen 140 from Finnish group Mantsinen, destined for Terminal Porto Nogaro, which manages terminal operations for the unloading of cargo vessels.
The installation of the new crane represents a further investment in strengthening the operational capacity of the Friulian port, which specialises in bulk and breakbulk cargo. The machine was supplied through Aprolis, a company active in services and solutions for industrial and port handling.
According to the companies involved, the choice of the Mantsinen 140 is linked both to its operational performance and to the brand’s reliability in more complex port activities. The collaboration between Aprolis and the terminal is not new: other Mantsinen 120 machines had already been delivered previously to the port of Monfalcone.
The new Mantsinen 140 is designed for continuous, heavy-duty bulk handling operations. Among the features highlighted are advanced control systems to increase precision and safety, energy efficiency solutions and customisable configurations according to the terminal’s operational needs.
The companies also stress the importance of technical support throughout the machine’s entire life cycle, from assembly to maintenance, in a sector where operational continuity and equipment reliability are central elements for the competitiveness of port terminals.
