TRIESTE – The new Management Committee of the Central-Northern Adriatic Sea Port System Authority has taken office and will serve for the next four years. The first meeting was held after the signing of the appointment resolution by President Francesco Benevolo, who also chairs the collegial body.
The Committee is made up of Luca Coffari, appointed by the Emilia-Romagna Region, Tomaso Triossi, designated by the Municipality of Ravenna, and Navy Captain Maurizio Tattoli, Maritime Director for Emilia-Romagna and commander of the Ravenna Harbour Master’s Office – Coast Guard. With the appointment of the new body, the Port Authority returns to full operational capacity at a delicate stage for the port’s infrastructure development.
According to Benevolo, the new Committee is an essential step to continue the port’s upgrade works and strengthen Ravenna’s role as a national logistics and energy hub.
At the same time, on access roads to the port, the Municipality of Ravenna confirmed a major allocation to refurbish port roads, starting with the truck route along Baiona, one of the most critical arteries for heavy-vehicle traffic heading to the terminals. During the City Council meeting of 16 December, the programme of works was updated, providing €1 million to rebuild one of the most deteriorated roads.
In July 2025 the Municipality had already launched extraordinary maintenance works on Via delle Industrie and Via Baiona, on the stretch between the Belgio roundabout and the Portuali roundabout, with new asphalt laid over an area of around 2,500 square metres. By the end of the year, the awarding of further works was planned, including those on Via Bassette and in the area of the main port roundabouts, for a total amount of €400,000, with construction works scheduled to start in March 2026.
