TRIESTE – A cooperation agreement was signed today at the Port of Rijeka Authority between Customs, Luka Rijeka, Adriatic Gate Container Terminal, Rijeka Gateway and the Croatian Association of Shipping Agents.
The agreement aims to create a framework for professional and technical cooperation in areas of common interest, as well as the exchange of information within the jurisdiction of the signatories, with the objective of improving safety and quality of work, facilitating trade and ensuring a faster and safer flow of goods through the port of Rijeka.
The document also encourages the development of partnership relations and the strengthening of trust with reliable economic entities, while at the same time preventing and detecting illegal activities. The signed agreement makes it possible to increase the competitiveness of the Croatian port’s maritime connections, the Authority explained, while ensuring the protection and security of the market and of the financial interests of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union.
The signatories to the agreement are: Denis Vukorepa (Port of Rijeka Authority), Mario Demirović (Customs Authority), Duško Grabovac, Marko Mišković (Port of Rijeka), Inigo Nunez Mendibe and Goran Manfreda (Adriatic Gate), Tomislav Rosandić (Rijeka Gateway) and Marko Škraljsky (Croatian Association of Shipping Agents).
