TRIESTE – Four million euros for Interporto Trieste and 1.8 million euros for ports, landings and maritime works have been approved by the competent Committee of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
During the discussion of the budget adjustment, a contribution of 4 million euros was allocated to Interporto Trieste for electrification, modernization and commissioning of railway connections. In particular, these are the connections in the Fernetti and Bagnoli della Rosandra area, where the warehouses are located under the Free zone regime. One million and 800 thousand euros were reserved for interventions in ports and landings and maritime works of regional competence.
In the first case, the allocation aims to support the ecological transaction process by increasing the transfer of goods by rail as an alternative to road transport.
